About Us
Shoko Hobson, Certified Canine Fitness Trainer

I started my career in animal rehabilitation in 2013, working alongside veterinarians and physical therapists specialized in animal rehabilitation. Over the years I realized there is so much more that dog owners or handlers could be doing to help minimize the chances of breed or sport specific orthopedic conditions or injury. Their recovery is significantly smoother with a solid fitness foundation, and massage goes a long way to keep them comfortable, flexible and functional. My goal is to guide them to achieve the goals of functionality, comfort, and overall well-being.

What is Canine Conditioning?

Canine conditioning uses certain exercises to improve body awareness, flexibility, balance, muscle strength, and much more. We assess a dog's posture, gait pattern, and implement exercises specific to the dog's needs. Our goal is to have a functional, strong dog for many years to come.

Why K9 CoreFit?

With many years working alongside veterinarians and physical therapists in the field of Canine Rehabilitation, I have the unique ability to create a comprehensive, safe and effective plan for each dog, including canine athletes, senior dogs, and overweight dogs.

What are the benefits of Canine Massage?

There are many benefits of massage! Just like humans, dogs can get stiff muscles causing some discomfort.

Massage reduces soreness and tension, and improves circulation and energy.

My dog can walk 10miles.
Why fitness/conditioning?

This is one of many reasons why we love them! They live in the moment and they're not worried about tomorrow or 5 years from now.

We like to help you be proactive to their overall fitness, including the ability to maintain symmetrical muscle tone which is crucial, 5 to 10 years from now.

Do you provide veterinary service?

No, We do NOT provide veterinary service. If your dog has a recent history of surgery of injury, please contact your veterinarian. We may require a veterinary medical release signed by your primary veterinarian in some cases. Please contact us for more information.

How long are the sessions?

The first session is typically about 1 hour, as it takes a little time to get to know your dog and assess their needs.  The following sessions will be 30-45minutes, depending on the choice of services.
